What is it?
You can now build your own custom version of the Worker Data Report, choosing exactly which columns it includes and in what order. Pick from a list of worker and employment fields, save your report, and run or export it whenever you need it.
Your custom report is always a new report. The standard Worker Data Report stays exactly as it is, for you and everyone else.
This is a Finity Labs feature, so it's still evolving. It's available for the Worker Data Report only for now, and we'd love to hear how you get on.
Before you start: the report builder needs to be turned on in Finity Labs first. To find it, click your avatar icon and choose Finity Labs from the menu. Only users with Supervisor access can turn features on, so if you can't see the banner on the Reports page, ask a Supervisor on your account to switch it on.
Create and save your custom report
Go to Reports and click Try the report builder on the Finity Labs banner.
Give your report a name, so you and your team can recognise it later.
Search the field list by name and tick the fields you want to include. Untick any you don't need.
Arrange your columns using the list on the page. Use the move controls to change the order, or remove a column you no longer want.
Check the preview to see how your report will look. The preview shows up to 50 rows.
Click Save as new report. You'll see a confirmation that your report has been created and is available to everyone on your account.
Find and reuse your saved report
Saved reports live in the Custom section of the Reports page. Open your report there to run it with the latest data, then export it just like any other report.
Custom reports are shared across your whole Finity account, so anyone on your team can run the same report without setting it up again.
Need to make a change? Use Edit columns on the report's card to add, remove or reorder columns. Bear in mind that changes affect everyone on your account who uses that report.
To delete a custom report you no longer need, use the delete option on its card, then click Confirm. The report is deleted for everyone on your account, and this can't be undone.
Good to know
Shared, not personal: every custom report is visible to all users on your account. Name it clearly so others know what it's for.
Worker Data Report only, for now: we plan to bring custom columns to more reports, including payroll reports, in future.
Tell us what you think: use the feedback link on the report builder page. Your feedback shapes what we build next.
